Our Children’s Ministry strives to equip the next generation of disciples and disciple makers with with a strong scripture-rooted foundation in the gospel. We are committed to teaching the Bible to children PreK-6th grade as often as our church meets. While at Southside, kids will sing, dance, play games, do crafts, and have a lot of fun! But everything we do is intentionally pointing us back to the simplicity of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

“And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.”

Deuteronomy 6:6-7

SUNDAY SCHOOL

Psalm 119:9-11 reminds us that the best way for a young person to stay on the path of righteousness is to take heed to the word of God and hide it in their heart. In our Children’s Sunday school, we are beginning a journey through the entirety of the Bible. From creation to Revelation, we want our kids to experience the entirety of God’s word so they can begin to discover the beauty of it. As they study the Bible, our kids will discover that they’re a lot like the people God has always loved and worked though to accomplish his will. We hope you’ll join us Sunday mornings at 9:15 for Sunday school!

CHILDREN’S CHURCH

In 2022, we BLASTED off with our new Grow curriculum for Children’s Church! Every month has its own unique theme for relating the gospel to our kids. Think VBS – every month! Our Children, prek-2nd grade, attend Children’s Church every Sunday during the preaching segment of our worship service. We believe our Children can be best served with a sermon that’s more on their level. Your child will leave Children’s Church eager to tell you about how much fun they had learning all about the Word of God!

WEDNESDAY NIGHT

Our Wednesday night Children’s ministry is focused on building disciples for Christ. We teach our RA’s and Hope Girls about who God is, how much he loves us, and how he sent his Son to die for us. Jesus tells his disciples in Matthew 19:14, “Let the little children come to Me, and do not forbid them; for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” It is our goal to bring the message of Christ to our children in a way that they can understand, so they can experience salvation found only in Jesus Christ. We hope to see you Wednesday nights at 6:00pm!
