How to join our southside family
At Southside, we believe church membership is vital to the church's growth and ministry. Church membership is for those who believe Jesus is their Lord and Savior and have surrendered their lives to him. Church membership is our tool for placing people in positions where they can serve effectively. If you have any questions, please contact any of our church staff. We would love to help you walk through this process.
BY BAPTISM
We believe that after we accept Jesus as Lord of our lives, we must follow his example in baptism to publicly show the world that we follow Christ. Baptism is the perfect symbol of salvation, burying the old self and raising us to new life in Christ. Our sins are washed away by the blood of Jesus forever.
BY LETTER
By transferring a letter from another Baptist church, you can become part of the Southside family.
BY STATEMENT
By a statement of previous membership and baptism in another evangelical church, you can join the Southside family.
BY WATCH CARE
For someone temporarily residing in our area who wishes to join our fellowship while maintaining membership at their home church.
